Christmas Break-up Lunch for 2019

On Thursday Dec 19 we all enjoyed getting together for our break-up lunch for 2019. Held at Marcus Hill Hall, it was another opportunity for us all (and partners) to mix and mingle and enjoy lovely food and drink. The atmosphere was great and, as Graeme said, it felt like a family get-together. Two popular members (Clem and Lizzie) who had suffered injuries during the last couple of months were able to join us and report that they are well on the mend, which is good news for all! It takes a group effort for functions like this one to come together successfully and to share all the work involved. Many thanks go to Cathy for collecting and preparing the chickens, Tony for organising drinks, Iris for her festive and fun table decorations and all the wonderful kitchen helpers who enabled us to sit down to a delicious meal and have everything cleaned up and put away quickly and efficiently afterwards. Merry Christmas everyone! And we look forward to another year of table tennis fun in 2020!
