Re: Christmas Dinner - 4 December 2021
What a great night, everyone appeared to have enjoyed themselves and each other’s company. Certainly the above photos taken by Leigh and Sue showed people’s enjoyment.
It was a good turnout with just over 50 members planning to attend. Unfortunately a number of our members were unable to attend due to ill-health or being away –so our thoughts were certainly with them.
This night didn’t just happen. Owen Ellis originally set the foundation for the evening but due to ill health was unable to complete the arrangements. Cathy Bonavia and Leah Dunn certainly stepped in, and in their capable style, ensured that the evening was a success. The Door Prize Hampers were a great idea and I’m sure the winners will enjoy them.
Congratulations should also go to our members for persevering through the ‘stop-start-stop-start year’ – but culminating in almost a month and half of being able to play table tennis. Well done to each and every one of you!
Hopefully 2022 will be a better year for us – with no interruptions to our playing sessions. I look forward to seeing you all next year, and to hear the shouts of enjoyment in the Hall as our table tennis comradeship continues.
All the very best to all our members and their loved ones, for the coming Christmas and New Year festivities.
